In 2020, during the height of the global pandemic lockdown, Ratanang "Rati" Moroasui sat down at a sewing machine for the very first time. Where others saw isolation, Rati discovered a canvas. Entirely self-taught, she transformed quiet hours into an intensive masterclass—learning pattern drafting, garment construction, and hand-draping through pure determination and intuitive instinct.
What began as a personal creative outlet quickly evolved into Designs by Rati—a luxury couture label known for its bold structures, sensual draping, and flawless fit.
